International ranking of NTUA by QS rankings 2020

According to the international QS rankings, the National Technical University of Athens is ranked among the top universities in the world for the year 2020, as announced in early March.

 

In the subject of Engineering & Technology, the National Technical University of Athens has improved comparing to previous years and now holds the No. 106 position worldwide (from No. 142 in 2019), the No. 29  in Europe and is the country's No. 1 in the particular category.

 

In the rankings by individual subjects, NTUA is ranked No. 1 among all other Universities in the country and it is the only one having a School ranked among the top 50 in the world. More precisely, in the field of Civil Engineering it has improved by 9 places and now ranks No. 39 in the world (No. 48 in 2019) and No. 11 in Europe. The NTUA has shown a significant improvement during the last year in the other subjects as well: In Electrical and Electronic Engineering it now ranks 51-100 (from 101-150 in 2019). In Architecture, it has been steadily increasing during the past few years and now ranks 51-100 (from 101-150 in 2019). In the Mathematics, it has considerably improved, ranking 201-250 from 301-350 in 2019. In the other subjects it remains the first in the country,holding the same positions as last year: 101-150 both in Computer Science and in Mechanical Engineering, 151-200 in Chemical Engineering, 301-350 in Physics and Astronomy.

 

QS World University Rankings are created by evaluating the institution's reputation in the academic community, citations per faculty and the reputation of its alumni among employers.
