Word Tunnel Congress, Athens 2023

The World Tunnel Congress (ITA-AITES Word Tunnel Congress - AthensWTC2023) will be held in Athens between 12 and 18 May 2023,organised by the Greek Tunnelling Society (GTS). The conference is expected to attract more than 2000 participantsand the majority of companies and organizations that are dealing with aspects of the construction and the management of tunnels and underground projects.

 

The National Technical University of Athens actively supports the conference. NTUA’s contribution to the design and upgrading of tunnels and underground infrastructure projects is particularly important through the undergraduate courses offered in its Schools and through the MSc Program "Design and Construction of Underground Works" which was founded in 1998 and to this day continues to offer high level scientific training and education.

 

During this period, the submission of abstracts is open for the scientific papers that will be presented in the conference, with a deadline set at 31th of May 2022. The main topics of the conference are:

  • Innovation, Robotics and Automation
  • BIM, Big Data and Machine Learning Applications in Tunnelling
  • Safety, Risk and Operation of Underground Infrastructure
  • Contractual Practices, Insurance and Project Management
