Referring to the challenges that the NTUA has faced over time, he expressed his satisfaction, underlining that, after 35 years, there is currently absolutely no occupation taking place in the NTUA and that renovations are gradually progressing where necessary in order to reuse premises of the institution. In response to whether the installation of surveillance security cameras is progressing, an obligation for educational institutions under the law, Rector Hatzigeorgiou stated that the installation process is in rapid development at the campus of Zografou as well as in the emblematic historical Patision Street campus.

Asked about the NTUA's contribution to the investigation of the case of Tempi and the earthquake activity in Santorini, the Rector noted that specialized scientists, members of the Polytechnic community, responded immediately and responsibly to the request for contribution to Greek justice by offering their knowledge and experience at the disposal of the Authorities of the State.

Finally, the Rector of NTUA referred to the "Open Labs" initiative, in the context of which NTUA will open its Schools and 43 of its most unique and emblematic laboratories, giving the opportunity to the general public to experience up close the spaces and teaching methods that nurtured generations of leading international scientists . He emphasized that Schools of the country as well as members of the public have already embraced this initiative, with participation exceeding 114 Schools and 5000 participants
