On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the Rector of the National Technical University of Athens, Professor Ioannis Hadjigeorgiou, and the Vice President of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Professor Huang Zhiqiu, co-signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Technical University of Athens and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Zografou Polytechnic Campus. Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics has consistently ranked as one of the top public universities in China.

The purpose is to undertake joint initiatives and actions and promote a framework of cooperation that includes, but is not limited to:

• Investigation into the establishment of a joint research center in the fields of Energy, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Educational visits of professors aiming at the development of joint educational activities, the co-organization of scientific conferences, research and educational seminars and the exchange of best international practices
• Student exchange and participation of NTUA students in Nanjing University summer programs

Subsequently, a working meeting was held in which Vice-Rectors, Deans and Professors of the two institutions participated and a visit to the NTUA laboratories was held.

With this collaboration, the National Technical University of Athens demonstrates its commitment to promoting internationalization of its educational programs and strengthening fields of Research and Innovation.
